State Representative Marc Snyder

State Senate District 12

Marc Snyder

Date of Affiliation: 10/6/1994

“I’m State Representative Marc Snyder and have been humbly representing the people of House District -18 for the last six years. I am also the democratic candidate for the newly redistricted open seat in Senate District-12. With your support we will flip this seat and elect a democrat for the first time ever to represent SD-12! I served in Manitou Springs for 20 years in various roles including chair of the Open Space Committee, the Planning Commission, 6 years as an elected at-large city councilor and 6 years as Mayor. Regionally, I served on numerous boards and commissions including the EPCBoH, the PPRBC, 12years on both the PPRTA and the PPACG (2015 chair). All of this local experience has been invaluable to me as a legislator in ensuring that what we do at the Capitol works for us down here. I am honored to serve as House Finance Chair, on House Judiciary and as a Uniform Law Commissioner. I am proud of the accomplishments that our democratic majority has achieved. As your senator, I will continue to work tirelessly to protect women’s reproductive health, to create a more equitable and just economy, to foster a culture of responsible gun ownership, to address the climate crisis, to accelerate the transition to the new energy economy and to promote resiliency to better prepare us for wildfires and floods.”
