I am humbled by the opportunity to continue serving as your state representative, and I do so with profound gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose. Over the past term, we have achieved significant milestones together, but our journey is far from over. Looking ahead, my vision for our community remains steadfast and ambitious.

In the coming years, I envision a district where every voice is heard, innovation thrives, and prosperity is shared equitably among all residents. We will prioritize initiatives that bolster our local economy, enhance educational opportunities, and safeguard our environment for future generations. Through collaboration and inclusive governance, we will tackle today’s challenges while preparing for tomorrow’s opportunities.

I pledge to advocate tirelessly for our shared values of fairness, integrity, and progress. Together, we will build upon the foundation we’ve laid, ensuring that every resident of District 17 has the chance to thrive and contribute to our vibrant community. Our commitment to these values will guide us in every decision and action we take.

Alignment
Is there any aspect of the Colorado or El Paso County Democratic Party platforms that you do not agree or align with?

I wholeheartedly believe in treating everyone with dignity and respect, without exception.

Priorities
What single issue/problem/situation will you address first if elected and how will you do it in the context of the position you will serve in?

As I prepare for reelection, my commitment remains steadfast towards banning seclusion across Colorado and prioritizing students’ mental health and overall well-being. Alongside these crucial initiatives, I will actively address housing challenges, advocate for sustainable environmental policies, and champion comprehensive criminal justice reform. This summer, I will reengage with stakeholders to reinforce our collective efforts in these areas. It is imperative that we work collaboratively to ensure every Coloradan has access to safe, affordable housing, and that our environmental policies reflect our commitment to future generations. Additionally, reforming our criminal justice system to prioritize rehabilitation and equity is essential for a fairer society. By focusing on these interconnected issues, we can foster a community where every individual thrives, supported by policies that promote justice, sustainability, and mental health.
